Who is this preparation workflow for?

This guide is for candidates preparing for timed coding, aptitude, role-knowledge, case, or written tasks delivered through an employer-selected platform. GhOst can help create mock prompts, organize role and job-description context, critique an attempt, and identify a focused next drill. It does not guarantee an interview result, replace the employer's instructions, or make prohibited assistance acceptable.

What should you confirm before practicing?

Record the platform, test type, duration, sections, language, environment check, monitoring, allowed notes or documentation, accommodations, support, and appeal process. Separate facts supplied by the recruiter or official platform from assumptions based on a previous interview, an online post, or another candidate's experience. When a detail is missing, write the question you need to ask.

A realistic mock plan

Take a timed baseline without assistance, categorize misses by concept or time management, drill the highest-value gap, and repeat a full simulation under the same permitted-resource rules.

1. Baseline: complete the first attempt without assistance and preserve the code, notes, or recording.
2. Diagnosis: identify one knowledge gap, one reasoning gap, one communication gap, and one time-management issue.
3. Focused practice: use GhOst to generate a related prompt, ask for hints rather than a final answer, and verify factual or technical suggestions.
4. Second attempt: solve or answer again in your own words under the intended time limit.
5. Transfer check: repeat with a different prompt so improvement is not just memorization.

What evidence should you keep?

• Your unaided baseline and the specific revisions made after feedback.
• A short checklist of recurring errors, edge cases, assumptions, or weak explanations.

How should GhOst be used responsibly?

Many assessments prohibit outside help. Use AI before the test for explanation and mocks, or during open-book work only when the instructions explicitly allow it. Preparation, mock interviews, approved accommodations, open-book or take-home work, and explicitly permitted assistance are the supported contexts. Protect confidential information, verify generated claims, and remain able to explain the final work independently.
